South Pacific humpback whale #0531, is named Ace is the Place for Whales, and was first seen in Hervey Bay in 1988, and was sighted again in 1992 in the area. In 1997, this whale was seen slowly swimming in a pod with four other animals in Eden, Australia. Most recently, this whale was seen in Hervey Bay in 2010 in a surface active pod.
