#0651: Humpback whale #0651, Anya is a female whale that was first observed by PWF researchers in 1982 in Maui waters resting with her calf. She was seen again with a calf in 1983, and twice in 1988. It wasn’t until thirty-three years later, was she was seen and photographed back in the Maui Nui region and cataloged by PWF Research Department.
